IIHS are support services made available to individuals with behavioral health challenges that could potentially increase the chances of a child being removed from the home. Services can also assist with an individual’s transition back into the home. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting and usually considered short-term. SE offers a program that combines skill-based intervention with maximum flexibility so that services are available to families according to their unique physical and emotional needs. The program offers guidance and supervision by both master’s level and bachelor’s level counselors that will work as a team to meet the objectives of individual family service plans according to needs

Risks for out-of-home placement could include aggression, defiance, noncompliance, truancy, or parenting limitations. Intensive In-home is home-based and is intended to be a short-term service.
